CASCI Membership Benefits

CASCI serves as a statewide professional network for all California Court Investigators and others who meet the definition under Probate Code §1454 and who perform the statutory functions of a Court Investigator. As a unified network, CASCI gives its members instant access to statewide expertise through the CASCI LISTSERV—a closed, members-only email group that allows investigators from all 58 counties to share knowledge, ask questions, and collaborate through a single email address.

In addition to peer support, CASCI plans and facilitates an annual statewide training conference, offering members a unique opportunity for professional development. The conference provides convenient access to the mandatory training hours required by state law and features sessions led by experienced investigators, legal experts, and subject-matter specialists.

Membership is open to:

  • Individuals performing the functions of a Court Investigator for a California Superior Court
  • Supervisors who directly oversee Court Investigators

Individuals who do not meet these requirements may apply if nominated by a CASCI member in good standing. Acceptance requires a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
